The Kali 7* has stolen my heart. It has just a huge sound! We had to wait for more than 100 years, but finally there is a mouthpiece that matches perfectly with a saxophone....!! Its Projection is so perfect that sound projects more from the bell-bow of the sax than from the bow in the neck. This gives a direct sound with a full rich tone and well specified center. Theo makes mouthpieces with so much love and knowledge. After playing the KALI I fell more deeply in love with the saxophone. I had such a good sound that I just thoroughly enjoyed playing and listening to myself.
Biography
Andre was born in the summer of 1983 in Antwerp Belgium. His predilection towards music was evident as a child, as he sang and danced whenever music played. He started music-theory at the Music-Academy at the age of 11, and always knew the saxophone was to be his instrument of choice. He then spent four years at the conservatory in Maastricht (The Netherlands). He later studied four years of music education specializing in Pop-Latin- Horn Sections. Today Andre works with dozens of musicians as a sideman. Andre plays in bands all over Europe, including: The Electrophonics (NL); Big Band Conservatorium Maastricht (NL); Metropool Big Band B (B); De Kunsthumaniora Big Band (B); Johny Voners (B); Staf Fabri (B); Kontich Big Band (B); Nigel Mack (USA); Big Dave (B); Phil Bee and the Buzztones (NL); Gene Taylor (USA); Ian Siegal (UK); Alexandre Rossi (BRA); Solomon Burke (USA); Gino Vannelli (USA).
