Theo’s mouthpieces are a work of art. I play on an AMBIKA 8 hard rubber and it has all I need : a big spread tenor sound that is dark , but never dull and I can get a very good projection out of it without any rollover baffle … how is it possible? Ask to Theo, the magician! The register is very even from top to bottom , it’s very easy to play and the subtone is to die for. I’ ve never seen a window and a chamber like wanne’s mouthpieces, their design are unique. I also play a GAIA 9 on soprano and it’s truly fantastic, it has the best tuning and dynamic range you could find and it’s very free blowing too. The option of changing the ligature pressure plates increases the versatility of the mouthpiece and I found it very useful in recording sessions to brighten or darken the sound. I suggest you to try Theo’s mouthpieces, I bet you will fall in love with them.
